Catherine's first career was as a Registered Adult and Paediatric nurse for over 20 years, she calls on her experience in Western medicine to compliment her Chinese diagnosis and treatments every day.
Catherine was very fortunate to be apprenticed to Ross Penman for seven years. Ross Penman is a dedicated and well known practitioner who has been a pioneer for classical Acumoxa in Sydney for 30 years. A committed and enthusiastic teacher, Ross encouraged Catherine in her love of pulse diagnosis and classical Acumoxa. Catherine studied formally at the Sydney Institute of Chinese Medicine and completed an internship at Beijing’s Guang An Men Hospital, renowned for its integration of Western and Chinese medicine treatments for Oncology and CVA (stroke).
On returning to Sydney in 2005 Catherine opened her own practice in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Known for her fertility, pregnancy and labour work as well as for her general practice, Catherine treats patients of all ages with a wide range of conditions and has the patience and tenacity to ease people out of chronic illness and towards a greater quality of life. Using food remedies for her patients, Catherine will often recommend dietary or lifestyle adjustments for her patients, to facilitate a swifter recovery and greater well being for the future.
Kristina is a passionate and generous Chinese Medicine practitioner, with particular love for acupuncture and its power in aiding the body to find wellbeing and vitality. With over 10 years experience, Kristina is highly experienced and University trained (Bachelor of Health Science UTS). Kristina is particularly recognised for her approach to women’s health, fertility and pregnancy, as well as emotional and stress related disorders.

Kristina practices a classical style of acupuncture, having trained under Ross Penman, one of Australia’s most well-known and successful acupuncturists. She has also had the privilege of working with the world re-known Chinese Medicine Practitioner Jane Lyttleton, as a part of her carefully chosen Acupuncture Pregnancy Clinic team.

Paediatric health is another area of her clinical practice that is very close to her heart. Kristina is excited about helping children through health issues and tricky developmental milestones and this has extended beyond her work as an a Chinese Medicine Practitioner. In 2017 Kristina Co-Founded Grow Your Mind a mental health Social Venture that teaches young children about their brains and emotions, and the importance in looking after their minds.
Anya Rowlands studied at the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, graduating as class valedictorian with a Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Anya was apprenticed to Ross Penman for 5 years, working beside him in his clinic.
Anya’s focus is classical acupuncture using theories and practices from the early Han Dynasty.
She joins Catherine and Kristina whom also apprenticed with Ross Penman so patients are able to move from practitioner to practitioner and enjoy the same style of treatment.
Anya’s focus has been in treating both children and adults with a wide spread of ailments and health conditions. From migraines to depression and anxiety, back problems, womens health and sub-fertility issues, digestive problems, sport injuries, post operative surgery, and cancer support.
Anya came to acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine from a background in teaching yoga and continues to provide corrective structural exercises and nutritional guidance where appropriate for her patients.
Anya thoroughly enjoys her work as an acupuncturist and seeing patients through to better health outcomes.
Catherine, Kristina and Anya are registered with APHRA, an accredited members of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) and recognised by private health funds.
